Incorporate Pantone’s “Color of the Year” into your home decor

The color experts at Pantone have finally released the much anticipated “Color of the Year” for 2020. Expect to see this color inspire numerous home decor and fashion trends. It’s never too late or too early to begin incorporating it into your own home design.

Introducing Classic Blue

Classic Blue, with its deep, dusky tones, is very different from the bright and spunky colors of years past. Pantone chose this dependable shade for its ability to install calm, confidence and connection no matter where you incorporate it in your home or personal style.

Create an accent wall

While Realtor.com advises against painting an entire room a dark color because it can make a room appear small, a dark accent wall can be eye-catching. A moody blue can be stunning and add variation to the space that is aesthetically pleasing.

Play around with shades in your accessories

If you already love your wall color and don’t want to go through the hassle of a paint job, you can easily add shades of blue to a room with its accessories. From wall art and vases to throw pillows and blankets, you can incorporate classic blue in touches around your space.

Even though blue is a cool color, it actually pairs well with most other hues. Elle Design recommends natural pairings like blues and greens or even bolder looks like blue and orange or yellow. Don’t let your current color scheme hold you back from incorporating this classic color
